Increasing number of life styles and  growing consumption of plastics require more kinds of composite materials.

To meet these requirements, materials have to be modified in proper ways such as grafting. TWO H Chem`s adhesive resin, NOVA™, in spite of its adhesive property and polarity gained through grafting, still maintains basic properties of polyolefin resins.

 

NOVA™ has an advanced functional monomer to improve adhesive strength.

Polyolefin modified adhesive resin, NOVA™, serves as tie layer between different materials and make high functional multi layer structures possible.

 

NOVA™ is especially suitable for multi layer sheet / film / tube / pipe / panel and co-extrusion of various polymer resins with aluminum, steel and other materials.

PE tube lined steel pipe

Hot and cold water pipe

PE tube lined steel pipe consists of galvanized steel pipe and PE tube lining. PE tube lining is bonded tightly to the inside surface of galvanized steel pipe under special process. This composite pipe can be used as potable water supply system for hot and cold water. NOVA™ works as the tie layer between the galvanized steel and PE tube lining.

PE coated steel pipe

Thermoplastic adhesive resin for 3 layer coating system for oil & gas line pipe

NOVA™ thermoplastic adhesive resin is used as the tie-layer in 3 layer coating systems for oil & gas line pipe.

NOVA™ offers optimal adhesion properties for multi layer polyethylene coating systems.

NOVA™ is pellet form for extrusion application.

 

NOVA™ for extrusion application

The thermoplastic adhesive resin is applied to preheated steel pipe as an extruded sheet immediately following the application of a fusion bonded epoxy(FBE) powder coating. NOVA™ bonds to the fusion bonded epoxy basecoat, and then serves as a high performance bonding layer for the extruded polyethylene(PE) top coat layer.

 

Across the globe, 3 layer PE coating systems are  preferred as a corrosion protection option for the wide range of oil and gas line pipe as well as water line pipe projects. 

 

When using as a tie-layer with compatible FBE basecoats and PE top coats in 3 layer coating systems, NOVA™ provides superior adhesion performance in demanding end-use applications.

Multi layer aluminum composite pipe is widely used for conveying gas and liquid, such as cold and hot tap water, all kinds of acid and alkali, salt solutions, gas, oxygen and compressed air etc.

NOVA™ adhesive resin serves as the tie layer between the PE and AL while providing top excellent long term adhesion durability.

Aluminum composite panel(ACP) is mainly composed of Aluminum / Adhesive / PE or FRC / Adhesive / Aluminum. Adhesive resin must have powerful adhesive strength which should not be  peeled off at any circumstances.

Wall panel for buildings, vehicles and vessels

Aluminum honeycomb & corrugated panel has been being widely used as the material of wall panel for buildings, vehicles and vessels. The surface layer of aluminum reinforced panel is aluminum alloy sheet, while the core layer is honeycomb or corrugated aluminum. It has enough rigidity for the material of wall panel and has light weight comparatively. NOVA™ adhesive resin is widely used as the tie layer between aluminum honeycomb or corrugated core and aluminum sheets.

Multi layer container

Multi layer tubes, bottles, food packages

Gas barrier resins like EVOH and Nylon have good barrier performance against O2 and CO2.

So, they are widely used in cosmetic tubes, food packages and plastic fuel tanks as the gas barrier material.

Gas barrier layer and polyolefin layer does not have any compatible characteristics. That is the reason why adhesive resin is needed for the tie layer between them. NOVA™ is especially suitable for multi layer film and co-extrusion of polyethylene with Nylon, EVOH etc.
