Microparticles are fine particles between approximately 0.1 and 150 micron (㎛) in size. Everyone encounters microparticles on a daily basis when exposed to substances found in the natural environment such as pollen, very fine sand, and dust. In large quantities, microparticles are often referred to as micropowders or ultra fine powders.


Because ultra fine powders are so small in size, they have a large surface-to-volume ratio which can be great benefit to industry. Aspect ratio, the ratio of its longer dimension to its shorter dimension, can also have significant impact on application performance. Therefore, size and shape of ultra fine powders are valued for the properties they provide.


TWO H Chem`s high performance ultra fine polymer powders are developed by using our own unique pulverization and polymerization technologies. Ultra fine powders are based on polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polystyrene and their modified, and provide a variety of performances by controlling the rheology characteristics, size and shape of particles.

SMC (Sheet Molding Compound)

SMC is the abbreviation of Sheet Molding Compound, of which the main material consists of special yarn, unsaturated resin, low shrinkage agent, lubricant, fillers and various auxiliary components. It firstly appeared in Europe in the early 1960s, and being developed in U.S.A. in around 1965. SMC boasts for its superior electrical performance, corrosion resistance, flexibility, light weight and easy for engineering design. Its mechanical performance is comparable with some of metal materials, thus it is widely used in transport vehicles, construction, vessels, electronic & electrical industry etc.

BMC (Bulk Molding Compound)

BMC/DMC is the abbreviation of Bulk/Dough Molding Compound, of which the main material consists of short-cut glass fiber, unsaturated resin, low shrinkage agent, lubricant, fillers and the prepreg of fully mixed various additives. BMC material was firstly applied in Germany and United Kingdom in 1960s, and then greatly developed in the 1970s and 1980s in U.S.A. and Japan. Because of its excellent electrical and mechanical performance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistant, adapting to various molding processes to meet requirements of many products on performance, it is more and more welcomed by the majority of users.

High density polyethylene (HDPE) fine powder

 is a high density polyethylene in fine powder form. Unlike waxes, these high molecular weight polymer exhibit high toughness.

  • Reducing shrinkage, improving coloring and flat surface, easy mold releasing

Cross-Linked polystyrene fine powder for SMC / BMC

CS Series™ cross-linked polystyrene fine powder is a copolymer of polystyrene which has been created to form a rigid, transparent, and colorless material with outstanding electrical properties. Compared to commodity polystyrene, CS Series™ cross-linked polystyrene is harder and has significantly high temperature resistance and considerably better chemical resistance. CS Series™  has good dimensional stability and displays very good optical transparency. CS Series™ cross-linked polystyrene fine powder is a spherical fine powder form to serve as an effective component in SMC / BMC as well as paint and coating formulations.

FPP Series : PP Homopolymer Fine Powder

PROPOLDER™ FPP Series is PP homopolymer in fine powder form. Unlike waxes, these higher molecular weight polymer exhibit high toughness. PROPOLDER™ FPP Series is pure polypropylene with broad regulatory compliance and contain no residual additives that may interfere with some applications.


MPP Series : MAH Modified PP Homopolymer Fine Powder

PROPOLDER™ MPP Series is maleic anhydride modified PP homopolymer in fine powder form. Unlike waxes, these higher molecular weight polymer exhibit high toughness. PROPOLDER™ MPP Series is polypropylene powder with grafted polar groups for enhanced performance in specialty applications.

Surface modifying agent of LCD diffuser & reflector sheet

SCATER™ is used as a coating powder on the surface of diffuser sheet and reflector sheet in LCD Module due to its transparency and higher levels of luminance effect.


Mainly used as a surface modifying agent for diffuser sheet due to its excellent abrasion resistance and softness softer than PMMA particle, SCATER™ can also be applied for coating powder of reflector sheet.

Improved mechanical strength

EPOLDER™  polyethylene powder binder is for solid cathode ring formulation that has good mechanical strength. This characteristic prevents breakage and improves production efficiency and integrity of the battery.


Particle size and distribution

A predominant efficiency factor of EPOLDER™ is the narrow particle size distribution. Its particle size distribution closely matches the particle size and distribution  of manganese dioxide and graphite. EPOLDERTM particles provide millions of small binding bridges between the magnesium dioxide and graphite. The fine particle size and narrow size distribution provide good powder flow of the mixture and sharp definition when pressing the cathode ring. EPOLDER™ particle size improves the consistency in the absorption of electrolyte and constant conductivity  for the long life of the battery. Electrolyte absorption is an important factor for the performance of electrochemical charge and discharge  of the battery.

EPOLDER™  polyethylene powder binder is added as a minor mix component to the cathode mass formulation.  A quantity of 0.5 up to 1.5 % by weight of EPOLDER™ polyethylene powder is added to bind the mixture.

EPOLDER™  is pure polyethylene powder. So it can not interfere with any electrochemical reaction.

The purity and controlled particle size distribution of EPOLDER™ are the definite elements of the ideal binder for battery cathode ring.
